We are the “Celtic Group MAC” based out of Kenora Ontario.  Our original group came together approximately 16 years ago with the intent of assisting the Kenora Scottish Pipes and Drums in their fundraising activities.   Once we discovered our passion for Celtic Music there was no looking back and we have developed a busy performance schedule.

We play both modern and traditional Celtic music.  As work sometimes gets in the way of our ability to travel, most of our performances have been located locally and close by in Northern Ontario, central and eastern Manitoba.  However, in 2009 we enjoyed a 10 city tour of southern Ontario sponsored by the Presbyterian Church of Canada and are in the planning stages of a tour of the prairie provinces.  2011 will be our second performance at Folklorama and we are pleased to be coming back.

Our band members from left to right are:
Lorne Temple: vocals, guitar, bass guitar, tenor guitar, mandolin and violin
Ruth Girard: vocals, keyboard, flute and violin
Jan Landsiedel: vocals, bodhran and violin
Jan Boutwell: songwriter, vocals, violin, viola, mandolin, tin whistle, guitar and banjo
Gord Day-Janz: (not in the picture) soundman
