Donalda (Donnie) Eastwood

The Reverend Donalda Jane “Donnie” Eastwood lived a life defined by faith, compassion, and devoted service to others.

At the time of her passing, Donnie served as Director of Volunteer Activities and Pastoral Care at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. She was also an Honourary Assistant at St. Bede’s Anglican Church, where she offered spiritual care, comfort, and support to members of the church community.

Her commitment to service extended far beyond her professional and ministerial roles. Donnie maintained a lifelong association with the Girl Guides of Canada and gave tirelessly of her time to numerous community organizations. Her generosity and kindness created what she lovingly regarded as an ever-growing extended family.

Above all, Donnie was deeply devoted to her husband, Keith; her children, Fred, Janet, and Susan; her grandchildren, Shawn, Michael, Kevin, and Brett; and her wider family.

Donnie passed away suddenly at her home on April 14, 1995. She is remembered for her cheerful spirit, boundless compassion, steadfast faith, and remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed, supported, and loved.
