Gordon Reid
May 10, 1943 - December 15, 2005
With his music, laughter, and unmistakable personality, Gordon brought the Pavilion of Scotland stage to life and left everyone’s world a wee bit brighter.

Gordon Reid was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, gifted singer, and beloved member of Winnipeg’s Scottish community.
Music was an important part of Gordon’s life. As a member of several choral groups, he shared his talent with audiences in Winnipeg and abroad, forming many lasting friendships along the way.
For many years, Gordon was one of the most recognizable personalities at the Pavilion of Scotland. As its colourful and comedic master of ceremonies, he welcomed audiences with warmth, quick wit, and an infectious sense of fun. His lively presence helped make each performance memorable and brought laughter to volunteers and visitors alike.
Away from the stage, Gordon enjoyed cultivating his reputation as an accomplished fisherman—at least, according to Gordon himself. His humour, stories, and playful spirit endeared him to friends, family, fellow performers, and co-workers.
Above all, Gordon was devoted to his wife, Jess; his children, Steph and Gareth; and his grandchildren, Kim, Tyner, and Connor.
Gordon passed away on December 15, 2005, surrounded by his loving family.
