Keith Eastwood
July 19, 1932 - October 12, 2010
Through scientific achievement, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering devotion to family, Keith built a legacy of knowledge, strength, and love.

Dr. H. Keith Eastwood was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, scientist, and family patriarch whose life reflected intellectual curiosity, professional achievement, and steadfast love for those closest to him.
Keith earned his bachelor’s degree from McMaster University in 1958 and completed his doctorate in nuclear physics there in 1964. His education led to a distinguished career in scientific research and technological development.
Over the years, Keith worked with Bell-Northern Research in Ottawa and Superior Electric in Montreal. He later served as Director of Fibre Optic Research and Development at Canada Wire and Cable, contributing his knowledge and leadership to a rapidly advancing field of communications technology. He retired in 1996.
Despite the significance of his professional accomplishments, Keith’s greatest legacy was his devotion to family. He was a loving husband to Donnie and later Peggy, a caring father to Fred, Janet, and Sue, and a supportive presence in the lives of Rhonda and his extended family.
Keith took great pride in his grandchildren—Shawn, Michael, Kevin, Brett, Hunter, Kelsey, Zach, Luke, Megan, Mitchell, Connor, and Ben—and treasured the many relationships that formed his large and closely connected family.
Keith passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2010, in his 78th year.
