Margaret Will
April 5, 1904 - April 20, 1986
Through her music, dancing, volunteerism, and love of Scottish culture, Margaret helped keep Scotland’s traditions alive for future generations.

Born in Grimsby, England, Margaret Will spent her early years in Scotland before coming to Canada in 1910. Her family settled in Crandall, Manitoba, where her father operated a bakery.
Throughout her life, Margaret remained deeply connected to her Scottish heritage. She was a life member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society and the Heather Belles Ladies Pipe Band. She also volunteered with the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature, visiting schools to share Scottish traditions and cultural demonstrations with young people.
Margaret gave generously of her time to many community organizations. She was a life member of the Princess Elizabeth Guild, a member of the Ladies Circle at Riverview United Church, and a member of the Sons of Scotland, Lord Selkirk Camp No. 205. During the 1940s, she was also involved with the Mothers Y Club.
Margaret passed away on April 20, 1986, at the age of 82. She is remembered with affection by her husband, Douglas, her son Sandy and his wife Pat, her grandchildren Blair and Glenn, and her extended family.
